Text Box: Mike Evans, Project Director, began working for Turner Contemporary in September 2003. Before that, he had been Kent County Council's Director of Economic Development for 7 years.
He led many of the Department's major projects
the development of Kings Hill 
the joint regeneration efforts in Thames-side and East Kent 
the establishment of the Kent and Medway Economic Board 
the setting up of Locate in Kent (the County's inward investment agency) 
the formation of the Kent Tourism Alliance (the County's tourism marketing company).
Before joining Kent County Council, he worked on the UK's first Structure Plan at Warwickshire County Council.

Text Box: Karen Eslea began her career working as a freelance museum educator for Nottingham Museums Service.
She moved to London to study for a post-graduate diploma in Museums and Galleries in Education at The Institute of Education, University of London and began working in the Education Departments of Camden Arts Centre and Whitechapel Art Gallery.
As Education Officer for Chisenhale Gallery in East London (1998 - 2000) she ran Get Art, an innovative long-term project which enabled young people from all of the special schools in Tower Hamlets to explore contemporary art.
At The Hayward Gallery (2001) she was responsible for developing a project funded by the Department of Health enabling young people to have access to cultural opportunities.
